2013-FIAT500L-exteriorWhere does the time go? Can you believe that is has already been five years since the new FIAT 500 debuted. Even more time has passed since the first FIAT 500 was presented 55 years ago. Now FIAT is proud to introduce the FIAT 500L, a new segment in Italian style. The FIAT 500L is expected to hit lots in North America for 2013 according to Eastside FIAT, you Calgary FIAT Dealer.

The FIAT 500L is a five-door car that is large and in charge. That is actually what the ‘L” stands for. This model of FIAT offers two more doors, along with seating for a fifth passenger. “It will be 163.0 inches long, 70.1 inches wide and 65.4 inches tall,” said Simona from Top Speed.

The styling is distinctly FIAT. The aggressive but pleasant body style is utilized. Some Unique features to the FIAT 500L are bulging fenders, a wraparound windshield, black bumpers and funky trim on the doors make this car stand out. This classic FIAT front grille and headlights are portrayed in the usual style. The rear hatchback is also utilizes classic FIAT styling but with the added flare of the black bumper.

The cabin of the FIAT 500L is sporty and elegant. Bright red highlights on the dash and seats add spice next to the midnight black base colour. The interior of this crossover style FIAT is handsome and daring. It is even a little bit beautiful, or should I say bello. Check out the live gallery on the FIAT Official Facebook Page.

The FIAT 500L will appeal to those who are looking for a little more room in their sporty subcompact. With the added length and width of the L, the cargo space will be much larger than its smaller cousin the FIAT 500.

As with all FIAT models, there are a lot of accessories to personal your FIAT 500L. One neat optional feature is the attachment of a coat hanger on the back of any headrest. This way you can keep clothes wrinkle free while you travel or hang up a wet coat.

It is currently unknown which engine or transmission will be made available. “The 500L will be front-wheel drive—but we expect an optional all-wheel-drive system adapted from the architecturally related Fiat Panda to be worked into the mix eventually,” said Alexander Stoklosa from Car and Driver. The two engine types in use with FIAT currently are the 1.4L four cylinder 101 horsepower engine or the turbocharged 160 horsepower engine. One can only hope for the turbocharged for a little added fun.

This larger FAIT will appeal to those who have wanted this subcompact but were timid about coping with the size. Great things are coming:keep your eyes and ears alert.
