An upcoming decision looms large for General Motors Company on whether it will be forced to recall up to 4.3 million vehicles due to Takata airbag inflators deemed unsafe in May 2016 by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). NHTSA recalled all frontal Takata airbags that do not use a drying agent after studies linked the lack of such desiccant to propellant degradation which over time can eventually cause ruptures during normal deployment which could cause serious injury or death.

Lately, I’ve applauded the lighting designs of many manufacturers. For instance the 2015 Kia K900, with its  aesthetically pleasing headlamps, which complement the grille exquisitely. However, with an increased focus on aesthetics, an increase in bulb technology has followed.

For example, High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps, which are the lights you see that come off as white with a touch of blue, are sweeping the industry. LED lighting technology is not quite as new, and is equipped on many of the latest vehicles.
